To Friends, Family, and Collegues,
I first want to say, thank you to everyone who has expressed their thoughts and concerns during this terrible tragedy. Our family is safe and we are thankful that everyone made it out alive. We continue to ask everyone to pray for all those who are still in Haiti. Our hearts go out to the millions of people who were affected by this horrendous event. Haiti is in desperate need of help, and I urge you to go out and do whatever you can do. (See recommendation organizations below) The faster we all react, the faster we’ll see Haiti on the road to recovery.
Unfortunately, I’m sad to report that the Galerie / Museum in Desprez suffered severe damage and is barely standing on it’s own. Galerie Nader in Petion-ville, miraculously suffered no damages .While, we are trying our best to recover as many paintings as we can, many that have been found are partly damage . Although the physical building of Museum Nader may not exist anymore, our love for Haitian art will never die. Haitian Art is a significant piece of our culture, and we will do whatever we can to save an important part of our history.
Please consider donating to one or more of the following organizations:
American Red Cross Food for the Poor Care Unicef Yele World Food Program
Once again, thank you for everyone’s thoughts and prayers.
John, Georges Jr.,Georges S Nader
